The property's garden was absolutely stunning, allowing me to relax and unwind surrounded by nature's beauty. It provided the perfect spot for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine, feeling like I was in my own private oasis.
Lack of charming view nearby.

This place is mind-blowingly beautiful and super comfortable. The location is jaw-dropping, with stunning views of the countryside. The garden is perfect for little ones to play in, and the main living area is ideal for relaxing. Plenty of storage throughout, and the cottage is fully equipped with a dishwasher and Nest heating system. The cafe at the village hall is excellent, and the old railway line is fantastic for walking, cycling, or running to and from the nearby town. The walk to Blencathra is breathtaking, and there are plenty of other easily accessible destinations. The flexibility of the accommodation is great, with ample space for adults, a dog, and even guests for dinner. The cottage is nicely decorated and has a cozy log burner for those chilly evenings. There are also nice walks right from the doorstep, and the village is just a muddy field away with two good pubs. we had a super enjoyable stay and would definitely come back.

Spacious Garden: The garden at this lovely cottage was like stepping into a fairytale land. With lush green grass and vibrant flowers, it felt like I was in the Secret Garden, exploring hidden corners and soaking in the tranquility of nature. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a cup of tea amidst the symphony of chirping birds and rustling leaves.
No Cleaning Tools: Unfortunately, there was no mop or broom available, which made it a bit challenging to clean up before leaving.

I absolutely loved the cozy and festive decoration of the cottage during my stay. The Christmas spirit was beautifully reflected in every corner, making it feel like a home away from home. The general areas were spacious and well-maintained, allowing me to move around comfortably as a senior. Additionally, the cottage was easily accessible for senior people like me, with no steep stairs or difficult obstacles to navigate.
I would have appreciated if the children working there could have provided a little more assistance to make the vacation even better for senior people.

The location of the cottage was excellent, providing easy access to explore the beautiful lakes. The view from the cottage was breathtaking, with plenty of windows to let in natural light. The spacious living room and open layout made it a comfortable and cosy place to relax. the bedrooms were a good size, with clean and comfortable bed sheets.
The sofa and main bed were not very comfortable. The sofa was shallow and hard, while the larger bed felt unstable and had a caving-in mattress.

Stayed at a cottage for the posh folks, nice location, stunning views. Shame about the uncomfortable beds, but hey, who needs sleep when you're surrounded by beauty?
Beds were like sleeping on a bed of nails, but who needs a good night's sleep when you can admire the dim lighting?
